turf one

Often, words will only ruin a piece of artwork.  That said, I’ll just briefly comment on the artist who created the above painting.  Turf One, the Parisian painter/illustrator- whose work could loosely be described as the freak show carnival lovechild of a passionate love affair between street graffiti and Jan van Eyck-  is one of few, perpetually inspired contemporary artists. I love this painting for it’s technical genius, but quite honestly it was ridiculously difficult to choose a piece to post here, seeing as they all have an amazingly quirky and nostalgic interest.  At the risk of self-fulfilling the opening prophecy, I’ll shut up and just let you look.  Enjoy!  and if you do in fact enjoy, go here to see more of Turf One’s work.
